oh the pain...

I went for my Saturday morning run and the walk up Mt. Everest Jr. just about made me turn around and come home. By the time I reached the top my calf muscles were so tight and cramping I could barely walk. But I continued on down the other side and they loosened up enough that they pain was gone so I started doing the walking/running intervals of podrunner week 3. I'd already done the workout three times this week so I didn't figure this morning would be any different. I made it through 3 of the 4 run intervals before I had to call Ken to come get me because my calf muscles started cramping again and I knew I wouldn't be able to make it over the hill again.

  1. Hey Melis, try eating some bananas this will help with the calf cramps.

  2. HI Melis--try stretching your calves even more and drink lots of water. Lack of adequate water will increase crampage.
