This week I got to ride again. I rode squire, it was only for about 20 minutes or so but it was so nice to be able to ride despite the arctic wind that was blowing on me. Next time I could do without the wind but it was so nice to be able to ride my own horse agin I will have to do it again soon.
This week in swimming was tough once again. I feel like a broken record but my teacher is giving us some really tough workouts this semester. Starting on tuesday we are doing our own workouts so I will have to make sure that I continue to do that. So tuesday's workout consisted of the following 250m warm-up, 3x100 beginning slow and getting faster, 1x300, 5x50 drill sets, 10x25 kickboard sets, 250 cool down. This is the first workout this semester that I didn't finish. I ate too much to soon before class and had no energy. I felt very sluggish and was struggling to stay afloat at least that is how it felt. I was dragging through the water which I actually was. I told Glenn that I thought my technique was gone and he said that my technique was still their but my legs were dragging through the water which I can tell because my arms were still sore today when I started my workout.
Todays workout seemed a little easier then other days but it was tough. As far as the directions it was the easiest one to remember so far. Simply put swim nonstop for 30 minutes. I did this fairly easy as far as my breathing. However, my arms were definately feeling it towards the middle and the end of the workout. To give my arms a little break the last few minutes I used the kickboard. Now I just need to decide what I am going to do for my workout on tuesday. If you have any suggestions let me know. We are in the endurance section of the workout. Until next time.
